shopping for gowns n hen party discussion part 1
went wif my cousins n siblings to shop for gowns, shoes, accesories etc for e wedding... it was a long dae... we COMBED e whole of orchard n city hall in search of E GOWN for each n everyone...our first destination was e daniel yam at heeren... spent nearly 1 plus hr at tt small shop... e 5 of us nearly tried each n every gown in e shop... conclusion: e designers r not creative loh... my cousin, joy (who was 4 yrs older than me) wore e same design for her porm many yrs back... to think tt they r still recycling e same design now... except in lotsa colours... but e sale assistants r quite friendly... hee... despite having to deal wif 5 ma fan ladies... in e end, i settled for a black dress for e day time... just a simple one... n was quite a gd bargain since it used to be 69 bucks but gg at 39 now... YEAH!
my younger cousin, anabelle, wanted e pink dress but all of us advised her against it cuz it is too ex n not worth it... furthermore, it does remind me of e gong wan xiao jie in meteor garden 1... haha
n as usual, i dun haf tt much stamina shopping... so haf to recharge my energy wif food... ate old chang kee finger food... never haf such utmost satisfaction for a long time... YUMMY!!!
went on to paragon n e 5 of us diverted our attention to other stuffs instead of our gowns n ended up wasting lotsa time... hee... joy caught sight of a handbag while my sis was busy looking at casual wear... n we even went to metro to search for a bright red bag for my auntie as she requires it for e hongbaos... we wasted quite of time n we decide to move on to our next destination... mphosis at taka...
however, as all of us were hungry... we went to haf a quick dinner at mac... think i really miss e gd old fillet... it was so so delicious... haha... mayb cuz it is e first time i'm savouring a burger after my long break... hee... oh ya, my cousin treated us... so nice! anyway, realised tt we could still use our matric card for e student meal after graduation... cuz joy haf been using it for so long... hee... btw, realised tt she noe my sec frenz... cuz sq happened to be on internship in her company... this big discovery was when she saw e photo i took wif sq in my wallet... hee
while eating, we utilise e time fully by discussing e hen party we planned for jen. think jen is quite low profile n does not want such a party n cuz she dun haf frenzs to plan one for her since majority of them r married... so her younger sis, joy, rented a chalet n plan to throw a memorable party for her... we were part of e organisers... n thus, this party is courtesy of e ong family... haha
anyway, this party must be a success cuz we haf to prove tv boy wrong... he was laughing at e idea of a chalet hen party... n was saying it was quite off n nobody haf such a party at chalet... so ya... we will make him regret wat he said... haha *grinning*
joy came up wif e idea of having a few hunks to dance around jen... anyway, e idea was further modified to a manhunt n every guy will haf a role to play... we will haf a nerdy one sucking on a lollipop, beach boy wif a float around him, a guy walking in wif his bike in conjunction wif e song tian mi mi, hunk (if we can find one) n an indian guy who dance to e tune of some indian music... n my cousin will be e bachelorette trying to choose one out of e five of them... e great finale will be a "striptease" performance by e 5 guys dancing around jen to e tuo diao song... haha... such crazy idea rite? meanwhile, we haf to find 5 super onz guys to help out... so any onz frenzs reading this, can sign up... hee... we r left wif 2 vacancies... let me do some hardselling... hee... e candidate who signed up get free dinner n lotsa of opportunities to oggle at chio gals, free stayover n mahjong... haha... cuz jen n joy r very chio... oh ya, my sis too... so sign up before e places r taken up... hee
then, we proceeded to mphosis... e shop was damn crowded... so many ppls... saw a few pretty dresses but we decided to kiv n see if we can get better ones... i also saw lotsa casual tops... so tempted to buy... hee... but din cuz we really haf no time to look n try on other stuffs le... we also cant find any stuffs in iestan wisma...
went on to e much anticipated ck tangs... cuz they used to haf lotsa nice gowns... but it was such a disappointment... except for daniel yam (AGAIN!), there were no other areas selling gowns after e massive revamp tt tangs went thru... *sigh*
we rushed to city hall... e 5 of us were literally running amidst e crowds... luckily, my sis is agile enough to kai lu for e 4 of us... haha... but she always disappeared from our sight... cuz she really walked (or run?)v fast... hee
upon reaching city hall, all of us were lamenting upon e sight of e polices around us... we were joking tt we must leave this station fast... if not, terrorist attack then we die... haha... despite noeing tt it was due to national dae preview...
we hurried our way to marina square... i was looking forward to e 272 bucks pink dress tt joy set her sight on but din buy it cuz it was way above our budget... on e way to marina square, we saw e magnificant fireworks... really looked diff from tv... so nice... we were so excited tt we wanna take a pic wif e fireworks... but my sis was a lan photographer... by e time she took out e cam n took e pic, e firework was gone... wat a disappointment! *sigh* so anyone wanna see firework during national day, must jio me... hee... cuz it is really v beautiful...
e revamp marina square is really messy... i simply cant recognise it... we spent lotsa time figuring out where e shops selling apparels etc... despite e v messy layout, it looks really happening! there r lotsa new eateries n restaurants... n food looks really appealing... oh ya, e sakae sushi at ms haf a new concept n seating plan... i wanna try e cross legged sitting position... so tt e atmosphere will be more jap... hee...
i saw e 272 dress after lotsa failed attempts at locating e shop... it looked really gd on joy but then, e price is too hefty... we decided against it... went to mphosis again. haiz... my youngest sis n anabelle wanna buy e 2 black dresses but my sis said look like ghosts floating around... haha... in e end, we were e last leaving e shop n e sale ppls were waiting for us to decide n leave... hee... luckily, joy bought a black gown n i think she looks great on it... but, me n her cant help feeling worrisome cuz aunties n uncles might nag abt e black colour...
e dae did not end at mphosis... although it was 9 plus le... i shall continue on another entry next time... hee
